My Second Post - by Grace

My mom has been really bad about posting regularly so I thought I would take some time to update you on what's happening in my world.

Before we get into that I want to clear something up about the pictures below. It was all my Dad's fault. I was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time.

So back to the updating. I was pretty lucky to have my Dad's mother (who is called Nana 'round here) and his sister, my Aunt K, come from Halifax to visit for a few days. Mom and Dad were pretty lazy and did not take many pictures while they were here so I have none with my Aunt in it. I do have this nice one with my Nana though.

We did lots of stuff together like going to Gatineau Park and the Mackenzie King Estate, eating in restaurants and some shopping. It was great to get to meet some of my family from Halifax. I hear I have a second cousin that was born around the same time as me. I'm pretty anxious to check her out sometime.

I have to thank my Minnie for buying me a mobile. Those things rock. Every time I look up from my bassinet it's like I'm seeing it for the first time. Diaper changes are WAY more fun now and I even wake up in the middle of the night just to stare at it sometimes. Mom and Dad just don't get the appeal of looking at animal bottoms while Brahm's Lullaby is playing. They're really missing out (but agree it is probably some of the best money ever spent).

My Mom says I am getting way more smiley and giggly these days. I think her comedy routine needs some work so I try to encourage her once in a while with some positive reinforcement. Sometimes it really is gas so I have no control over it. I am getting way better at holding up my head. My parents have been impressed with my progress so far, but don't seem to be too happy when I want to show them how good I am at 2:30 in the morning. I have been giving them hints I may know how to roll over onto my back too. I'll figure out a good time to let them in on how much I know.

Finally, I am starting to like bath time more and more. This makes my parents very happy because they used to think that the child welfare people may come knocking on the door as soon as they heard my howls, not realising I was being bathed. My mother is not letting me post a picture of bath time. While I have a very cute butt, Mom doesn't think it's appropriate material for the Internet.

It's a long weekend here so I have my Dad at home for three whole days. This is gonna be fun. Have a good one, folks.
